The Bible Must be a School's Foundation
from an 1872 sermon by C H Spurgeon
The need for Christian schooling is not new. In 1872 when secular state schools were being established, famous London preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon spoke with incredible foresight on the need for parents to give their children a schooling that included the Bible as a foundation:
"Let Christian men of all denominations originate and maintain, in a high state of efficiency, popular schools in which the Bible shall be read and taught in its integrity, and thus avert the disastrous consequences to the thought and life of the nation, which must inevitably result from a system which ignores divine revelation."
